What is TauscheBanner?
TauscheBanner is a free text banner exchange for webmasters. You can promote your website by displaying banners from other participants on your site and collecting points in return.
Is it free to use?
Yes, TauscheBanner is completely free. You collect points by displaying banners from other participants on your website and use those points to have your own banners displayed on other websites.
Do I need a cookie banner (CMP)?
No. TauscheBanner does not use tracking, does not set cookies, and does not collect any personal data of visitors on participant websites. No Consent Management Platform is required to embed our banners.
Do I need to update my privacy policy?
Yes. Since the TauscheBanner widget loads a script from tauschebanner.de and makes requests to our server, you should mention this in your privacy policy. You can find a sample text in our participant documentation.
Points & Banners
How do I earn points?
You earn points when visitors to your website click on the banners displayed there. Each click earns you 1 point.
What costs points?
When someone clicks on your banner on another website, it costs 1 point.
What happens when I have 0 points?
When you have 0 points, your banners will not be displayed. Once you collect points again through incoming clicks, your banners will be shown again.
Is there a starting balance?
Yes, as a new user you receive 100 points as a starting balance.
Why isn't my banner being displayed?
Possible reasons:
- Approval pending: New banners and new websites must first be reviewed and approved by us.
- No points: Your banners are only displayed when you have a positive points balance. Earn points by displaying banners on your website.
- Website paused: Check your dashboard to see if your website has the status "Active".
Technical
How do I integrate the banner code?
After adding a website, you will receive a JavaScript code snippet. Add this code to the desired location on your website — a text banner will then be displayed there automatically.
What are text banners?
Text banners consist of a headline and a description text. Unlike graphic banners, they blend seamlessly into your website's design.
Are cookies or trackers used?
No. TauscheBanner does not use tracking and does not set cookies on participant websites. Banners are delivered without external trackers — no personal data of visitors is collected.
