The principle is simple: you display banners from other participants on your website and earn points. These points are then used to display your own banners on other websites.

Banner Exchange — a Proven Concept

In the early 2000s, banner exchange was one of the most popular ways to promote websites on the internet. Services like LinkExchange or BannerSwap were part of every webmaster's toolkit. The idea was as simple as it was effective: webmasters helped each other by displaying ads for one another — completely free and without intermediaries.

With the rise of large advertising networks like Google AdSense, banner exchange faded into the background. But these networks also brought disadvantages: extensive tracking, cookies, complex privacy requirements, and the need for cookie banners (CMPs) on every participating website.

TauscheBanner revives the original idea of banner exchange and brings it into the present day.

No Tracking, No Cookies

TauscheBanner deliberately does not use any tracking and does not set cookies on the websites of participating members. The embedded text banners are delivered without external trackers — no personal data of visitors is collected or shared.

This means: Neither for TauscheBanner itself nor for the websites that embed our banners is a Consent Management Platform (CMP) — i.e. a cookie banner — required. Participants can use our service without having to worry about additional privacy consent requirements.
